The tournaments of Hyperion will be broken down into two separate days. The first will be the 10th of November and the second will be the 17th of November both starting at 1600 CST called the Tournament of the Commons consisting of archery and the group melee.

For the archery event, competitors will only be able to use the base Longbowman class and it will consist of a full quiver of 12 arrows moving from the closest target to the furthest. Archers will begin at the closest target and will not advance until they score a 'bullseye.' The person with the most bullseyes at the furthest target will advance within their bracket.

For the group melee competitors will only be allowed to use the Footman class and will compete in groups of 4 against other teams of the same design.

The second tournament, named the Tournament of the King will consist of the individual melee and the joust. Competitors in the individual melee will compete with custom classes subject to a limitation of weapon and skill combinations to be announced one week before the event. The joust will require competitors to use the Tournament Lance with a barded horse. One point will be awarded for a broken lance, three for unhorsing the opponent. Competitors will lose two points if they kill the opponents horse.

Each competitor must register on either http://www.militarygamers.com, http://www.duchyofwessex.org, http://www.silversunrepublic.com or http://www.lumensolis.com in the forums with a picture of their coat of arms and in which events they wish to compete.
